RULES
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
In addition, the Wettfahrtordnung of the ASF, the General Sailing Instructions of the ASF, the additional sailing instructions of the UYCAs, as well as this notice of race apply.
If the class rules do not prescribe higher standards, ISO standard 12402-5 (or equivalent) is the minimum requirement for personal flotation devices. The use of inflatable flotation devices (automatic vests) is permitted only if explicitly permitted in the applicable class rules.
The anti-doping rules of World Sailing and the Austrian Anti-Doping-Bundesgesetz shall apply. Therefore doping suspended or blocked athletes and caregivers are not admitted to participate in the regatta.
The use of remote-controlled aircrafts (drones) over the regatta area by accompanying or supporting persons is - in addition to the legal regulations - only permitted if it has been registered with and approved by the organizer.

ADVERTISING [DP]
[DP] Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

ELIGIBILITY
The event is open internationally to all Dragon class boats that are registered in the boat register of a club recognized by World Sailing, comply with the class rules and is holding a third-party liability insurance.
All crew members must be members of an ASF associated club, individual members of the ASF or another national association recognized by World Sailing.
The person in charge must be in possession of the OeSV Junior Regatta License or the Bfa-inshore issued by the ASF or a Lake Constance skipper‘s license or be able to present an equivalent document from a foreign association.
A boat is only eligible to participate if it has completed registration.

ENTRY DEADLINE:
A minimum of 10 boats of each class is required by the entry deadline (June 2nd 2025). If this minimum number is not reached, the event may be canceled.
Late entries will be accepted if received in time before the end of registration.

ENTRY FEE:
€ 220,– upon registration and receipt of payment at the UYCAs regatta account (IBAN AT59 3436 3800 0001 9406; BIC RZOOAT2L363) by the entry deadline (June 2nd, 2025) with the reference „Drachen Litzlwurm & sail number & name of participant“.
€ 250,– untill the end of registration.

REGISTRATION:
Check of measurement certificate, proof of liability insurance, ASF membership cards, and sailing license; distribution of sailing instructions:
Friday, June 6th, 2025, 16:00 to 18:00 hrs
Saturday, June 7th, 2025, 08:30 to 10:30 hrs at the race office of the UYCAs.

FIRST WARNING SIGNAL:
Saturday, June 7th, 2025, 13:00 hrs

LAST WARNINGSIGNAL:
On Monday, June 9th, 2025, no warning signal will be given after 15:00 hrs.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:
The sailing instructions are available at registration.

COURSES:
There will be sailed standard courses with a target time of 50 minutes.

PENALTY SYSTEM:
RRS 44.1 is changed so that the two turns penalty is replaced by the one turn penalty.

SCORING:
8 races are scheduled.
When 4 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
When fewer than 4 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
If only 1 race is completed, the series will count with factor 0,5 to the Austrian ranking list.

BERTHING:
[NP] [DP] Boats shall be kept in their assigned berthing places while in the harbour or boat parks.

RADIO COMMUNICATION:
[DP] Except in an emergency, a boat that is racing shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall not receive voice or data communication that is not available to all boats.

PRIZES:
1. Litzlwurm-Wanderpreis for the winning crew.
2. Prizes for the crew of the first three boats.
3. Keepsake gifts for all other participants.

LIABILITY; PICTURES; DATA:

INSURANCE:
By registering and/or participating, all responsible persons declare that their boat has a valid third-party liability insurance with a coverage amount of at least €1,500,000 per claim or the equivalent.
